UNASHAMED

Academia continues to denigrate those who cling to a biblical view of origins.  In fact, an anti-biblical worldview has so rooted itself in the world of science and education that to hold to a creationist view of origins is tantamount to intellectual suicide. The idea is that if the ‘legitimate’ world of science and scholarship can shame Christian apologists into lowering their voice, then maybe there would be less occasion for the naturalists to have to deal with troubling questions about certain foundational assumptions of evolutionary ideology.
At our PCA Prayer Breakfast on May 31 Tim Barnett, a former PCA science teacher, presented a convincing array of arguments in support of the Bible’s record of how things came to be. He further identified certain statements that have been made by prominent evolutionists whereby they essentially admit that the biblical position is valid. The origin of the created order is too complex and the maintenance of the world and the universe is clearly too marvelous not to have a Divine Orchestrator.
Tim has put together a set of arguments that are extremely well-researched and founded in intellectual rigour. Today’s Christian students – high school and post-secondary – would be well-advised to seek out Tim’s expertise and establish in their own minds a sound and reasoned defense of their faith. Here’s Tim’s web address http://www.clearthinkingchristianity.com. Every student who knows Christ ought to be able to declare with confidence, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” (Rom 1: 16 NAS)
The Jew sought for heart-felt truth. The Greek looked for philosophical soundness.  Both are satisfied in the claims of Christ!
